Competition of Young Specialists-2019
Dear colleagues!
Regularly, not less than once a year, starting from the launch of the Siberian Association of Neurosurgeons (SibNeuro) in September 2014 we announce a competition for the best scientific article among young (35 years old inclusive) neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuroradiologists and doctors of other clinical neuro specialties. The winners are awarded with different prizes such as 1-month trainings in the leading neurosurgical clinics of our country, 2-weeks training in foreign clinics, visits to conferences and practical educational courses. In addition to it, the best articles are published in Russian neurosurgical, neurological and radiological periodicals. Members of SibNeuro professional community are sure in significance of such competitions. All this provides young doctors with the opportunity to participate in interesting educational events in the beginning of their careers without personal money costs. Besides, the victory provides the winner with the sense of confidence and feeling of the fact that professional way was chosen correctly.
Participation in similar competitions demands particular strong-wills, physical and mental efforts. It may seem that jury’s responses are of subjective nature. Such things could be said about any competition, about any prize or award. I and my colleagues try to show our maximal objectiveness and openness during the process of choosing participants and winners of the competition and discussion of their articles.

Siberian Association of Neurosurgeon “SibNeuro” announces a “Competition of Young Neurosurgeons”. Any research articles on actual neurosurgical problem are accepted for participation in the Competition.
A research article should be written in explorative manner. It should be dedicated to a peripheral issue of any sphere of neurosurgery or cross discipline, including neurology of neurosurgical diseases, neurophysiology, neurovisualization, pathoanatomy and other methods of neurosurgical pathology diagnostics.
The deadline for application is April 19, 2019 (inclusively).
The results of the competition and the names of winners will be announced on April 24, 2019.
To participate in the competition, it’s necessary to comply with the following requirements:
- · The theme of the article should correspond to the following specialties – “Neurosurgery”, “Neurology”, “Radiology”;
- · By the time of the article submission the competitor should be not older than 35 years (inclusive);
- · Knowledge of English (not lower that Intermediate).
The winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will gain highly-valued rewards.
The winner’s article will be published in “Neurochirurgia” Research and Practical Journal.

All articles being sent for the competition will be checked for results originality and borrowing issues from open information sources.
