Results of the XLIInd Meeting of the Siberian Association of Neurosurgeons “SibNeuro”
The XLIInd meeting of the Siberian Association of Neurosurgeons “SibNeuro” took place at the premises of the Federal Neurosurgical Center on April 27, 2018. The guests from St.-Petersburg took part in the event.
Physician-in-Chief of the Federal Neurosurgical Center, Jamil Rzaev was the Chairman of the meeting.
Functional diagnostics physician, neurologist, the head of neurological division of MEDEM International Clinic (St.-Petersburg), Sergey Y.Pyanzin opened the meeting by his report on “Insult: A Matter of Dispute”. In his report Dr.Pyanzin highlighted special aspects of acute and subacute form of ischemic insult, pathogenic mechanisms of ischemia in different zones of brain tissues affects. He also raised the question of thrombolysis performing and its terms. The question of therapy in acute phase of insult and application of remedies included into the list of evidential basis evoked vivid discussion.
The next speaker, Pavel P.Laktionov, senior research scientist, the head of cell biology group of the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine of the Siberian Branch of the Russia Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk) presented his report on “Perspective materials and technologies in vessels tissue engineering: electric forming, advantages and disadvantages”. The lecturer told the audience about a method of artificial grafts creation that could be possibly applied in vascular surgery for revascular surgical procedures after some additional researches and that could widen the opportunities borders of patients with vascular pathology treatment.
The last report in this session was the report of Galina Moysak, a senior lecturer of Neurosciences Division of the Institute of Medicine and Psychology of Novosibirsk State University, neurologist of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk). The report of Dr.Moysak was dedicated to the “Problems of facial pain diagnostics and treatment”. She told about the pathogenesis principles of pain syndromes, peripheral and central mechanisms of its development. She also presented up-to-date data about etiology of different types of facial pain development and clinical data included into International Classification of Headache 2018; Dr.Moysak told about difficulties of treatment types choice for the patients with facial pain.
Each report evoked a vivid interest among the audience.
